Originally the forecast called for a rainy day, but as Sunday approached, the weather shifted, and instead we had a beautiful warm spring day for spring cleaning at Sweetman’s Garden. The turnout was amazing, and in just a few hours, the community worked together and the entire garden had been cleaned up. Weeds were pulled, soil was turned..stones and five year old compost moved to build a new garden. All the while children played, running down the paths, hiding in the hedgerow, and even lending their hands in what is truly a real treasure here in North Bay, Ontario, Canada. This is an afternoon in Sweetman’s Garden.
