‘Do you drink wine? If so red or white?’ was the text from Ryan…Little did I know he would be dropping off a bottle in appreciation for a couple referrals I sent his way… ‘Red my friend.’ was my answer, and this lovely bottle of Raven’s Wood was what he showed up with a couple days later… And so tonight was the night we cracked into it, but not before I took the opportunity to catch a few photos of this fantastic 2008 Zinfandel. Delicious. Thank you sir.

Sweetman’s Garden Spring Cleaning {North Bay Lifestyle Photography}

Originally the forecast called for a rainy day, but as Sunday approached, the weather shifted, and instead we had a beautiful warm spring day for spring cleaning at Sweetman’s Garden. The turnout was amazing, and in just a few hours, the community worked together and the entire garden had been cleaned up. Weeds were pulled, soil was turned..stones and five year old compost moved to build a new garden. All the while children played, running down the paths, hiding in the hedgerow, and even lending their hands in what is truly a real treasure here in North Bay, Ontario, Canada. This is an afternoon in Sweetman’s Garden.

I’m very excited to hear that Jean-Paul De Roover will be coming back to North Bay very soon, with a stop scheduled for March 7th, as part of his ‘Year of the Loop’ tour. These are a few photos from his last visit, when he played at the 187 Gallery where various local artists created pieces based upon songs from his ‘Windows & Doors’ album.
